  • Mar 24, 2022 Lovely! Lovely! Lovely! Staying at the Hobbit House was a real joy. But don't let the name fool you -- the Hobbit House is truly spacious. The bedrooms are generous and there are plenty of places, both inside and out, to tuck yourself away if you need a little alone time. The grounds are delightful -- waterfalls, koi fish and tropical gardens. The kitchen is well-appointed and modern; you'll have everything you need to make a quick smoothie or go all-out and cook. The beach is a short walk away and quite unpopulated so you really feel like you have your own paradise. I would go back in a heart beat and unabashedly recommend a stay at this wonderful property. Equipped with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and accommodating 12 people, you and your party will feel enveloped in your own private village tucked away here in the quiet countryside of paradise. This is a home that is decorated in the details: from the intricate door trim to the kitchen countertops, the garden bridges to the smoothed wood banisters, there is no end to the beauty within this mystical marvel of a beach jungle home.

Hawaii Hobbit House features many exterior ornamental decorations reminiscent of, well, The Hobbit! Lined with artisanal gates, roofs, doors, balconies and windows, this home frozen in time will transport you to a land only dreamt about in fantasies, all the while offering the comforts and conveniences of a modern luxury villa. The interior combines elemental, earth inspired design fixtures with chic and contemporary living services to feel like you are residing in a luxury treehouse. Throughout the home are Asian influenced, artisanally designed installations of stone, finished wood, and bamboo to inspire the nature of Hawaii inside and out.

Each bedroom comes with Air Conditioning, additional pull out bedding accommodations, and a private lanai. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with appliances and a small breakfast table seating 4, the living room hosts 2 couches and a television with outdoor access to the lanai, and the indoor dining room accommodates a table of 10. The guest house is comprised of the third bedroom, a full bathroom, and the media room, equipped with a large sectional, 2 bean bags that fold out to full size mattresses, and a 120" projection screen and Nintendo Switch for a full night of entertainment.

The lush, tropical greenery not only surrounds Hawaii Hobbit Home, it is an integral piece of its experience. Bask in the tranquility of the home’s various native tropical flora, koi ponds, waterfalls, fire pits, meditation areas, hammocks, hanging coconut chais, and garden beds. Take a walk through the groomed gardens, or revel in the natural splendor from the comfort of the covered lanai that is equipped with an outdoor grill, benches, chairs and a table seating 8, or from the covered cocktail bar equipped with a tv and fire lounge.

Hawaii Hobbit House is located off of the eastern shores of Oahu in what’s known as the Paniolo countryside. The villa is within walking distance to the world famous Waimanalo Beach, a white-sand beach great for swimming or body surfing, and overlooks the tremendous and breathtaking southern Ko’olau mountain range.

A short 6 minute drive up the road to the north takes you into Waimanolo town, which has a grocery store, pharmacy, gas station, and small shops for all of your basic necessities. A short 5 minute drive down the road to the south leads you to Sea Life Park, a family friendly water park exhibiting penguins, sea lion shows, swimming lessons with dolphins, and more. Farther down the road towards Honolulu along Oahu’s southeastern tip, you can enjoy the beauty of the Makapu’u Tidepools, take a swing at the Hawaii Kai Golf Course, and stroll the Koko Crater Botanical Garden. It is 36 minutes to downtown Honolulu, as well as 36 minutes to Honolulu International Airport.
